Browsing the Velvando directory — searching for fairs, reading listings, accessing location details, schedules, registration requirements, stand costs and vendor tips — costs nothing for entrepreneurs and vendors.
There is no registration required to browse. There is no subscription fee. We do not charge commissions on sales. We do not take a percentage of anything you sell at a fair. The information in the directory is published to help vendors find places to sell, and that function is free.
We also do not organize fairs ourselves. We are a directory — a guide that aggregates and publishes information about events organized by others.
Our operating costs — maintaining the directory, verifying information, building and improving the platform — are covered through optional premium listings available to fair organizers.
A premium listing is an upgrade that gives an organizer's event greater visibility in the directory. It is entirely optional. Standard listings remain available at no cost, and organizers can submit their fair for free inclusion in the directory at any time.
The decision to offer a premium listing is made by the organizer based on whether the additional visibility is useful to them. We do not pressure organizers to upgrade or make standard listings less visible as a result of not paying.
The directory is most useful when it has the most comprehensive information. Keeping access free for entrepreneurs means more vendors use it, which makes it more valuable for organizers, which supports the premium listing model.
We do not accept paid advertising from businesses unrelated to fairs and markets. We do not sell user data. We do not have affiliate arrangements with fair organizers that influence how listings are ranked in standard search results.
